twenty-six

8:47 PM

As I was driving to Walmart (kidless, I might add......wahoo!!...I'll explain later) I began to realize that Feb 1st, 10 years ago I turned 16 and went on my very first date with Bryan. Crazy that 10 years have passed and we are now married with (almost) three kids. And feel very lucky every day that I am where I am!

Turning 26 couldn't have been better! Bryan told me the night before my birthday that he would get up with the kids and I was supposed to sleep in. Well, of course that wasn't an option since I already had a scheduled doctors appt at 8am (which was so lame on my part) But when I did get up to my alarm, I realized that everyone was gone in my apt. I noticed a note on the table from Bryan that said he had taken the kids to Mesa where my sister in law Kelsie was SOOOOO generous to watch them ALL day. (she definitely has earned a spot in the celestial kingdom after that day)

I was shocked and super excited all at the same time. As a mom, you dream for a day like this and when it finally came, I didn't know what to do with myself!

This present could not have come at a better time since I had a whole list of errands and things to do before the baby came but had such a hard time getting them done while taking care of other children.

I think the best part of the day was to have Bryan come home for lunch and dinner and be able to talk to him and actually carry on a conversation without mulitple interruptions. It was an all around relaxing day.

Later that night, we had a girls party at the hot tub with snacks galore. Perfect way to end a relaxing day.

Thanks to everyone for their texts and phone calls. You made turning 26 that much better :)
