Watched over
9:59 PMThis blog has been neglected for so long and it continues to stay on my to do list! I have tons of pictures and words to post but can't get myself to hash it all out……BUT I wanted to post a tender mercy that happened recently so I don't forget how lucky I've been.
Yesterday, I was getting the kids ready to go on a walk and Christian insisted on riding his strider bike around the complex. Without me knowing, he opened the door and zoomed away. (anyone that knows those strider bikes, those things can go so fast)
I then saw Evelyn running after him calling his name and so I booked it, not knowing how far he was. Sure enough I almost witnessed my worst nightmare.
Christian had biked so fast and stopped in the middle of the street where a car was zooming around the corner.
LUCKILY, this driver must have been aware of him coming because she slowed down at the turn and missed Christian. That horrifying scene continues to replay over and over in my head. Why was I so lucky?
I walked away in tears, putting myself down for not being able to handle these three kids and losing doubt in my abilities to truly take care of the children I have.
That night I was talking to Bryan about our miracle that day and how this was his THIRD incident where he has nearly been hit by a car. Bryan mentioned to me that it must be his younger sister Tiffany who passed away when she was 16mo old, watching over Christian again and again.
And when he said it, I knew he was right! That little girl who passed away way too early in her life, is now the help that I need in watching over my kids! And I love knowing that!
Now, I'm not sure WHY Christian has been so protected so many times, especially when I hear of other horrible incidents on the news but I really do feel like as a mother that I'm not alone when it comes to watching over my kids. My 2 eyes and hands can only do so much all day, but there are so many others, like Tiffany, who is there right along side me!
