--While we were staying at my parents house in the summer, my Dad tells Evelyn "You are as cute as a button." Evelyn's quickly replied, "Grandpa, stop talking about my butt!"

--While driving in the car Christian was getting on Evelyn's nerves and this is what she said "Christian, I don't like you. I'm going to throw  you in the trash and get a new brother"

--I was trying to do Evelyn's hair for church but she wasn't cooperating. Bryan tried to help out by saying, 

"Evelyn, let mom do your hair so you can be pretty for church." 

"But Dad, I'm ALREADY pretty."

--Evelyn is addicted to these lifesaver breath mints that I have. Without ever seeing me open one, she can hear the sound of the crinkling wrapper and sense that I'm opening it. She then begs to have one. On our way to church one Sunday, Bryan asks for a mint. So, hoping Evelyn doesn't hear me, I strategically turn on some music and quietly open the mint. I then secretly hand it to Bryan. Success!! Well, 30 seconds into him sucking on it. Evelyn starts sniffing and says "I smell a breath mint! Please I have one" (the senses this girl has is incredible!)

--I love watching Christian and Evelyn's relationship. Christian has gotten to the age where he just knows how to push her buttons. One day at lunch, Evelyn turns to Bryan and says "Here dad, hold my plate for me while I go to the bathroom and make sure Christian does not touch my food." Christian, who refused to eat his lunch, was playing in the living room, hears this conversation and immediately runs over and trys to eat her food.

--I was running an errand while my mom was watching Hudson and the other kids at home. Hudson started to get fussy and Evelyn asked Grandma why she couldn't just nurse him because she had some of those........"things". Grandma explained that mom was the only one with the milk. After thinking about it for a while, Evelyn says "Oh......you  just have water!"

--One day I was in the process of putting on my make-up when Bryan and Evelyn walk by. Bryan turns to Evelyn and says "Evelyn, isn't mom sooo pretty!?" Evelyn, who notices I don't have all my make-up on says "Not yet!"
