Happy eighteen months!

Eighteen months.......I love the sound of that! I think this is one of the half birthdays that should DEFINITELY be celebrated!

On Sunday Christian goes to nursery for the first time and him and I are both ecstatic for this change! He will be in the same nursery as Evelyn which may not be unusual for most people but with 3 nurseries in our ward, I didn't think he would end up in the same class. But the teachers in there are awesome and Evelyn couldn't be more thrilled to show her brother around.

What I want to remember Christian at 18 months.

-Always on the go.

This kid never stops moving. I nursed Christian up until 16 months because it was the ONLY time during the day that he would hold still for me and I didn't have the heart to let go of it. So I kept on nursing him for my own selfish reasons.

Just last month this kid had 2 ear infections and I had no idea because he never slows down and so it wasn't until it got really bad did I discover it.

-Loves to climb.

I think I mention this about Christian in all of my posts but it's true this child of mine could climb all day. I'm really considering the idea of investing in a rock wall.....hmmm.....

He loves to climb on the kitchen table and push our hanging ceiling lights back and forth or pull the oven door down to get to the stove and countertops. I have gone into the bathroom on multiple occasions to see him in the sink washing his feet.
So one time I sneeked up on him to capture this feat.

-Biggest helper.

Christian is always there wanting to help. He just stands at my feet during dinner time yelling "HELP!" "HELP!" He is always there when the broom, dustpan and vacuum comes out.

-Loves his blanket

-Cutest "cheese"smile

-A dare devil

I often find myself saying, "Christian is so crazy!" He is all over the place doing the scariest things, Like jumping in the pool without floaties or climbing onto all the tables at the library.
And then we go camping this last weekend and I watch Bryan jumping off cliffs doing so many crazy dives and I think, this is all his fault!! Christian is clearly his father's son.

-Adores his sister Evelyn

This kid follows Evelyn around all day long. I love it when I hear Evelyn yell "Tistan!!!" And he goes running to her command. She has got him wrapped around her finger! :)

A tender mercy experience happened recently with Christian. I was at my sisters house in Washington  and I was chatting with her when I get this prompting to check on Christian. I knew for sure he was in the living room and just kept on talking. The prompting came again, "go check on Christian". So I went to the living room where to my greatest fear, the front door was opened. I rushed outside to see Christian running out on the road
That moment still haunts me and so I now I learned to always ask myself the question, "what is Christian doing" and if I can't answer it then I know I'm in trouble!
