I just realized today that after 25 years, I'm back in my birth state for my birthday and I love it! All my birthdays that I can remember have been in the dead of winters of Portland Oregon, Rexburg ID, and Provo Utah and so to be in short sleeve type weather for my birthday was one of the best presents! I feel like the luckiest girl tonight with lots of birthday love from texts messages to a surprised visit from my friends, a letter in the mail from my sister that with lots of memories of us two,facebook messages, card from my parents and grandparents, tons of phone calls and much much more! THANK YOU!!

A couple of days before my birthday I was complaining to Bryan that I didn't want to turn twenty-five because I was feeling old(....which I know is not that ancient, but at that moment I was feeling it) then 5 min later I sat down to read my scriptures and started reading this verse.

"And Moroni took all the command and the government of their wars. And he was only twenty and five years old when he was appointed chief captain over the armies of the Nephites." (Alma 43:17)


At that moment, I quit feeling old AND began to feel really immature! :)

This month is one of the busiest months for Bryan and it just so happens that all our birthdays land in the next 4 weeks. But despite the craziness, Bryan still came home last night at 1am and hung streamers, wrote happy birthday notes and hid my presents. The funniest discovery today happened while I went on Pinterest to get a recipe. I noticed that I had repinned a lot of "I love you" pins that I don't remember ever doing. I just thought my sister got on my account UNTIL I realized that all the "I love you" pins were in a Happy Birthday board made by Bryan. Who knew my husband can work pinterest? It took me forever to figure it out when I signed up!

Warm cookies and icecream! My fav! This year Evelyn understood more about birthdays which was fun. But if you asked her whose birthday it was today, she would reply "mommy's! BUT MY birthday is coming up." She will not let you forget!
