Christmas day 2011

CHRISTMAS MORNING!
(It was a tradition growing up that with our stockings we got a box of cereal. And with my love of cereal, the tradition continues on!)
Best part of Christmas this year was the fact that it landed on Sunday! It was so nice to get up and attend church with my family as we celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ through songs and words. It also was the first time where I actually look somewhat decent while opening presents. Since we had church at 9am we let Evelyn look at her santa gifts/stockings and then we hurried and got ready for church.
For a parent, this is the best sight ever to see your child so excited and suprised!

After church we finished opening up all our gifts. This year was so fun with Evelyn because she has begun to understand Christmas and presents. She was right there beside me as I set up the Christmas tree and wrapped the presents. Since she understood so much this was a perfect time for me to teach her about giving. So, one morning I had Evelyn help me with some chores and in return gave her some money to buy gifts for her dad and Christian.
The suspense of opening up Evelyn's gift to her daddy
And he got blinker lights for his bike so he doesn't die. What a thoughtful daughter
And Evelyn got C a ball. Which she uses more than him but let's be honest, those are the best kind of gifts to give

My favorite gift I gave was publishing our blog book from year 2008-2010. It was so fun to look through and reminisce

Later that day we got to talk to Jacob on his mission and then enjoyed a relaxing dinner of ham and potatoes and a delicious pie made by our friends Karl and Kristin. We have been so lucky to meet some fabulous people since we've been here. Then we played an intense game of Wizard.... Thanks Dallin and Janelle for the game!
