habit
10:48 AMFor all those who read my previous post, you now know that my sister has gotten a hold of my password!! But I do love you bubs!
Since Evelyn was a newborn, I tried really hard to keep her on a routine when it came to her feeding and nap times. I had read over and over that babies love a routine just like adults. But as a mom, I always wondered how much Evelyn knew and understood her routine until this past week.......
When Evelyn wakes up from her nap, I have been trying to teach her that we take our pacifier out and leave in the crib until her next nap. (which happens to be 2 hrs later---doesn't that life sound wonderful?) Anyways, last monday I went to go get her from her nap and followed the same routine by pulling out her pacifier. I held it in my hand wondering what her reaction would be, when she then pulled it out of my hand and dropped it in her crib. It seriously was the cutest thing ever. I just thought it was some coincidence, or maybe she just lost grip of it and it fell in the crib.
Well then after the next nap, I picked her up and this time she pulled it out of her mouth and threw it in the crib. She now does this after EVERY nap. There are times after her nap that I forget but Evelyn still proceeds to take the pacifier out on her own and drops it on the hallway floor.
Kids amaze me all the time with how smart they really are!!
