summer 2020- seeing old friends!

After not being able to see family and friends for months during quarantine. It was so fun to see friends from Hawaii. The Huillet family was moving from Hawaii to Germany and needed a place to stay for a few days with her layover. With lots of flight cancellations she ended up staying for the week. It was really fun to catch up with her, take her hiking, swimming at the lake and going on walks. They became family to us while living in Hawaii. Their nephew is Ben Keyes, who married Ashley and so it was fun to have that connection. They are the nicest people and we loved visiting and catching up with them. The rest of the Huilett family were flying later and it just so happened that their layover got extended to it so they stayed Sunday afternoon and the night with us and left early Monday morning.

Then a few days after Karin left, the St. Clair’s moved to Maryland. Brittany was my best friend in Hawaii and even though we only knew each other for a year we clicked instantly. I was so excited that she would be living in Maryland. Unfortunately it was only going to be for one year as well since we were moving but we made sure to live it up.

I just love how easy she is to talk to and have fun with. Her boys play really well with my kids and so it makes it easy to get together. We are so lucky to have such great friends who have instantly become family to us.
