Our very own doctor!
5:13 PMAt the end of May, Bryan graduated medical school!!!! <------this a="" deserves="" exclamation="" lot="" nbsp="" of="" p="" points="">
I am seriously amazed by all Bryan's hard work. 4 years of medical school is not an easy road and there were a lot of days the first two years where he would be up all night studying and then the last two years where he would be gone, months on end. But we did it! And the most amazing part was how Bryan balanced and handled it all. He was always so good about putting us first. He would check up on us, make sure we were still having fun when he was gone. He was always happy when he came home and played with the kids whether he had slept the night before or not! He amazes me!
Medical school was also some of the best 4 years of our married life as we met so many cool people. The people is what made the experience such a positive time in our life! I feel like the luckiest person to have known so many of these friends!

We reapplied for that spot, called the program director and then found out in January that Bryan would be a pediatric doctor! The funny thing, all his friends joked that Bryan is more suited as a pediatrician than a surgeon. For so long, his friends joked about it and then at the last minute when we thought we were ready for a surgeon path, he becomes a pediatrician. We both feel so good about it and know the Lord was guiding us the whole way. Although I felt so good about going down the surgeon path, I learned that sometimes God leads us down a path and then allows curveballs to happen so that we know for sure that that path was not where we were supposed to be. I'm grateful for the hand of the Lord in our life.
