final weeks in Arizona

So, there is no denying it. We LOVED our time in Arizona. It was seriously the best! Weather was great all (well mostly all) year around. We lived right across from Midwestern, the medical school Bryan went to. We lived in an apt complex that had 40 plus mormon families. Everytime you walked outside, you seem to always see a friend. We had this awesome zero entry pool that had sand for the kids to play in and a swimming pool that was gorgeous. We also had a hot tub but we got kicked out so many times bringing our children in there. haha! But what made it the best was living by such awesome friends.

During our first year of medical school we were in a different apt complex which was a few miles from the school. We lived by the Mcdonalds who were so fun to be around. Besides them, there were no other mormon families. We quickly realized that everyone lived at San Lagos apt. After a year of living there and having some bad experiences, we realized we needed to move. But we couldn't get ourselves to pay the going rate at san lagos. Bryan and I looked around for houses to live in but again, didn't feel right. We knew we needed to go in the direction of signing a lease at San Lagos. And I'm so glad we did!

Medical school is not an easy journey but those years was some of the best years. We became friends close friends with the Woods, Brewsters and Browns and Shaws. It's hard to find couples that you both equally enjoy hanging out with, but it was so easy with these people. Of course we had our occasional drama but for the most part, these people were my support group and sanity. They were the ones we saw everyday, who we shared lots of good laughs, tears, joy and frustrations.
Just writing this (a whole year and a half later) gets me all teary eyed thinking about how much I miss these people!

The weeks leading up to the graduation, I think we had so many "last" get togethers. "Last" pool day, "Last" game night, "Last" couple date nights. It was hard to say goodbye for sure. Here is a recap of the last few weeks in good ol Glendale, AZ.

These kids were best friends. When we moved here there was only a handful and now it's a whole army!

Ali, Collin and Stacey. My dependable pool buddies! It was so fun being in the same stage of life so everyday we all needed to get out of the house with our little kids so we all seemed to meet each other at the park or pool daily.
