9:24 PM

A perfect, cute little girl was welcomed into our family on March 10th at 7:11pm (Bryan named her, her gas station baby after his favorite 7/11 gas station :)
She weighed 8lbs 4 oz and 20 1/2 long

I feel like she has been apart of our family way before I found out I was even pregnant. Here is a little  little back story of it all......
When Hudson was 9 months old I remember sitting in my living room with all my kids watching them play when I kept feeling like I had another kid sleeping in my room. It was weird but I felt like I didn't have all my kids with me and was missing one.

I was hesitant to tell Bryan because even if this was prompting of some sort, I didn't feel ready to get pregnant at that time as I had 3 kids under 4 years old and a busy husband in medical school.

Well a few months went by and the conversation got brought up, and I mentioned to him of the feeling that I had been having. We both were so overwhelmed at this point and thought that maybe it was a prompting for us to get pregnant in the future.....the WAY future ;)

Well, the feeling never really went away and I had this thought come into my head one day that we would have a kid sooner than we planned. I feel a little selfish saying this, but Bryan and I had anticipated going on a graduation trip but we knew it would be hard with a newborn or being great with child so we had discussed getting pregnant right after graduation.

Just as things don't always go as "planned" we found out in July that sure enough I was pregnant.....which means we would have a March baby in 2015 (We can't seem to stay away from February and March babies) :)
(I heard that if you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans......aint that the truth)

We both of course were so excited and felt so so blessed! When I look back on it now, I realize that He knew WAY better than I did and that March 2015 was the PERFECT time for our family to have a baby. I had no idea what I was thinking ;) So glad for a loving Heavenly Father whose hand was in all of this!
me at 35 weeks--and can't believe that she still has room to grow

the proud dad!

Collin Wood, Katie Johnson, Lyndsey Cosgrave and Mandy Voisin were so nice to come visit me in the hospital

Her delivery went so well! I feel so blessed. There was a few hiccups with this pregnancy and they found out at 35 weeks I had a ton of fluid surrounding her. They were a little concerned so I had to go into twice a week check ups to measure her. Just a few weeks before that, while we were in Oregon, I ended up in the ER with extreme pain. It was so painful to move or lay. But after being checked, everything was normal. It took weeks and a few chiropractor appointments to help the pain.
Also at 39 weeks they saw they she was breached. I was devastated as I was hoping to go into labor on my own but the safest and best option was to be induced around 40 weeks and for her to be manually flipped. I was checked into the hospital at 10am but the doctor couldn't come down to flip her until 5pm that day. Luckily, she turned and they put this who band around me to keep her in place started me on pitocin. I tried to sleep but it was so uncomfortable with the band. I tried walk around a lot but not much was happening. I always seem to get frustrated at this point. I tired to remain much more calm as now I know my body more and know that I naturally take a long time to dialate. By 7pm the next night, I was at a 10 and the doctor happened to walk in right then. He walks in and says lets have this baby. I knew he was ready to go home at this time but also a little worried since it usually takes me an hour to push a baby out. He was so patient and did such a good job stretching me while I pushed that it only took me 10min! I couldn't believe it! I'm grateful that I delivered at that time as he probably wouldn't have been there nor eager to go home but since he was, he helped me so much and the delivery and recovery seemed to be the best yet!

the first time, seeing her!

Evelyn would hold her and sing lullabies all day long!

proud sister

I'm so grateful for Kelsie and Ciara for watching my kids while I was in the hospital the whole time! I'm seriously so blessed with such good family who always stepped into help!
