Girls trip

3 Years ago, our little family moved to AZ for Bryan to start medical school. There was a lot of excitement and nervousness as we had no idea what medical school would be like, or how hot AZ actually gets in the summer, or what our apt would look like etc etc.

During the first couple of weeks of medical school, we met with the other couples in Bryan's same class who were LDS. Lucky for us, there were a many couples in our ward in Bryan's same year. The husbands naturally all clicked as well as the wives and since then we have been so close! Medical school would seriously be the pits without them.

I have loved experiencing this journey with these girls and extremely sad to see it end soon! I know this situation of mine will never happen again where we live so close together and all our husbands are going through the exact same schooling.

Before my good friend Annie left for Utah during our 4th year of medical school, we had one last big hurrah in St George with just us girls and no babies.....for 4 days straight! It was blissful!

Annie's grandpa owns a huge vacation home and was so kind to let us stay in it for the weekend. It sits up against the red rock and a golf course....the view was amazing!

Those 4 days consisted of exercising, swimming, lounging, eating lots of good food, saw the movie "Mom's Night Out" (very appropriate for us), saw the second half of The Little Mermaid at Tuchanan, walked around the St George Temple, late night chats, games and so much more! The boys laughed at us when they heard we were at the gym and pool most of the day. They know that's most of our life back at AZ but without children, it makes it a whole new experience ;)

can't forget the chocolate Dunford Donuts

Then on the way back from St. George, some of us stopped by Vegas and hit up the strip for a little shopping, eating at Earl's sandwich and of course frozen hot chocolate

All our husbands survived the 4 days and did it without trouble! They are amazing! I even was surprised a little when I came home to see Evelyn had her ears pierced!! This is why Bryan is the favorite parent!
