turning point
9:32 PMAs a mother of a newborn you anticipate the big milestones your child will make, like sitting up on their own, or crawling, and even walking. Then after that it seems to be only subtle milestones along the way to show your child is "growing up."
Just a few examples:
--I took her and Christian to a baptism last Saturday. On the way there we ACTUALLY had a full on conversation about why men with the priesthood are the ones who baptize. This was so different for me.....I was having a real conversation with my daughter!!
--Last Sunday she also got to attend Primary with the incoming three year olds for the first time. The whole way home from church she was beaming, knowing that she was one of the big kids.
--She can buckle her carseat all by herself! This one is one of my favorite "milestones"
--And tonight for FHE we played a family game of hide-n-seek. Usually this game last for 30 seconds with her hiding in a obvious spot and then running out before we could "find"her. Tonight though was different. Bryan and I searched our 2 bedroom apt trying to find her. It took us over 5 min to find her. For a moment I thought to myself, "Did I just lose my daughter in a game of hide-n-seek?" She finally had to give us subtle hints by laughing to discover where she was......so mark this down on her milestone chart. This is full proof she is growing up :)
The aftermath of our FHE smore dessert.....
