all boy
10:36 PMI wondered before Christian was born what his interests would be and if he would gravitate towards manly things or play with whatever Evelyn was playing with. I felt bad for the kid because when he was born our toys consisted of babies, purses and more babies......oh and one car and ball.
But that didn't matter, Christian attached himself to the car and ball. He loves all things truck, skateboards and airplanes, something that Evelyn never really cared about. So, it's been fun for me to watch the differences in what boys and girls gravitate to from day one.
Does this not scream boy to you?? :)
(grateful I had my camera close by when I walked into the kitchen to see this)

Speaking of climbing, Christian learned how to climb out of his crib the day before we left for our Thanksgiving vacation. When we got back home, we took out the base board of his crib and just lowered his mattress to the floor (since I wasn't ready to take off the bars completely) This worked fine until the next day when we heard Christian screaming and found that he was trying to escape under the bars yet his head was too big and he was stuck. So half his body was on the outside kicking with his head still in the crib!
Then it didn't take him long to learn how to get out even with the farther climb.
Today, though I went to get Christian out after his nap and he insisted that he climb out himself. So I watched him do it and then he got to the top of the crib and so I put out my hands to catch him. But he wasn't satisfied and kept pointing to the door, saying "away"....meaning he wanted ME to leave. I tried to explain that he can't jump from the top of his crib. I seriously stood there for 5 min trying to get Christian to jump in my arms so I could get him down but he wanted to jump down himself. Finally I gave in and put some pillows down to soften the fall.
I found him this morning trying to climb up to get the gingerbread house filled with candy. How he stretches that far is beyond me.
