Tender Mercy
7:48 PMIn September we knew Bryan was going to be "booted" from his teaching job at the MTC because he hit the 3 year mark. So prior to his last day he began applying for different positions at the MTC. Unfortunately he didn't get the 2 jobs he applied for. Time was getting closer and he applied for one other position which we were really hoping for since the pay was so good. After interviewing 4 different times for this one position, it came down to Bryan and one other person in who they were considering. But because he couldn't commit to 3 years to that job, it was a huge disadvantage to him and he didn't get it.
Being the worry wort that I am, I began to REALLY stress out knowing that we soon won't have an income and Bryan would be spending that whole next month interviewing at Medical schools which would drain the little amount in our bank account. Thank goodness Bryan has way more faith than me and helped me realize that something would come up. Sure enough, 2 days later, a call came from the Portuguese department at the MTC wanting Bryan to come train a whole bunch of new teachers there. (Blessing number #1)
Soon after getting this job, Bryan was gone practically the whole month of October for medical school interviews and left Evelyn and I at home (Being a single mom bites......my hat goes off to mothers who have to do that 24-7) But because this new job was flexible, he could choose his own hours whenever he was home. It was perfect for the amount of time he was gone because he never had to get a substitute teacher! He did miss teaching the missionaries a lot and training teachers was ok until he had to observe them in their classroom where they only spoke Portuguese and Bryan knows NONE of the language, so it made observing a little difficult :)
Anyways, at the end of October, Bryan was driving home from one of his LAST med school interviews when he gets a call from his old boss telling him that a lot of teachers recently quit from his department and needed to hire him back!!! (Blessing number 2)
Looking back on it, everything worked out perfectly. Right when he was going to be more stable at home, he got his old job back which he absolutely loves. The Lord had it all mapped out so perfectly, I just wish I could say I had more faith in His plan.
So, why do I always worry so much then??
